When Netflix released the first season of Lost In Space in April 2018, a lot of viewers were captivated by the plot of the fantasy TV series. And as the story of the show proceeded, the number of people who binge-watches it dramatically grew. Which is why before the year 2018 concluded, fans and followers of the series are asking about its second installment.
On the tenth episode of the show, Lost In Space ended it by sending the Robinsons into another galaxy just before docking the Resolute. And with this intense cliff-hanger, the excitement that has been build up from the beginning went overboard as it left its audience with tremendous amounts of questions.
These questions from the fans mainly focus on how would the second season naturally go considering that the Robinsons are now in a whole new, different galaxy.
In reference to EconoTimes' reports about the sequel of Lost In Space, it is believed that the most prevalent prediction as of the moment would be that the Robinsons will participate in a war between machines and who-knows-who. Hence, the publication entirely concluded that the second season might follow a similar Transformers plot that involves battles with machines and robots.
And in considering the latest events from season 1, it is not unlikely to happen since it is revealed that there are more machines in the place where the robot came from. Also, the idea is not impossible granting the fact that the Robinson family has already faced a lot of challenges in the first season.
Looking on another perspective, there were also claims that the real story of being "lost in space" will start in its second season since the Robinsons are now actually lost, and this time it's in another galaxy to which the family is not familiar with.
As for Digital Spy, the outlet claims that it has been revealed by the writers and directors of Lost In Space that season 2 will widely cover the story of the robot. At the end of season 1, the robot saved Will Robinson despite its links to Dr. Smith at that moment. And this left many viewers in the dark as to why it saved Will from danger. Accordingly, it is believed that this part of the series will be featured in its second season.
Nevertheless, the information about the plot of Lost In Space season 2 is quite limited. And according to sources, the show is set to premiere in the late months of 2019. So, until then, viewers and fans are expected to wait for further updates.
