The horrors of puberty will continue in Big Mouth Season 3. Netflix renewed the fan-favorite series that tackle the reality of growing up in an animated form that viewers begin to love. With positive reviews and great acceptance, fans now wait what will be the cast's antics next installment.
Nothing is much known about Big Mouth Season 3 since Netflix announced its renewal in November 2018. However, Inverse reported it might focus on Nick's story after the previous season finale.
In Big Mouth Season 2 finale, Nick (Nick Kroll) needed a new hormone monster, thus he ended up with Connie the Hormone Monstress (Maya Rudolph). Although it seemed a good thing for the show's main character, fans believed it might put him in jeopardy - given that Connie has been a bad influence since Season 1.
After she asked him to shoplift, things might get worse come Big Mouth Season 3. But, there are also theories Connie might not put Nick on the wrong path. His dad was said to be a "well-adjusted man" who could control his emotions because Connie was also his hormone monster. As they have the same monster, he could be different from other men and be like his father.
Aside from Nick, Jessi (Jessi Klein) might also be an integral part of Big Mouth Season 3, per ScreenRant. With a battle with her own hormone and uncontrollable emotions over her parents' divorce, she started to shoplift, experiment with drugs, and began a slut-shaming scandal with her classmate Gena (Gina Rodriguez).
With all the things happening around her, Jessi eventually succumbed to the emotional monster, Depression Kitty (Jean Smart). Although she decided to undergo therapy, she still has a long way to cope up. Big Mouth Season 3 would further explore Jessie's depression, which is also a chance to see childhood depression tackled on the pop culture. Also, there would be more interactions seen on the series, involving the colorful creatures of the Department of Puberty after Shame Wizard's (David Thewlis) introduction.
Netflix has yet to announce Big Mouth Season 3's official release date, but there are expectations it will be around the same time the previous seasons were out. Season 1 released on September 29, 2017, while Season 2 arrived on October 5, 2018. Hence, the new season might be out in late September or early October 4. But as the streaming service usually unveils new shows on Friday, it may be out specifically on September 27 or October 4.
