Although this line is already expected, a lot of things are about to happen in the finale episode. Dr. Melendez and Dr. Lim's revelation will be a big move for the two as they are about to tell their relationship to those in power. Although it may have consequences, they are still determined to make their romance public.
Another story at play on The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 18 is Dr. Glassman's (Richard Schiff). He deserves happiness after all he went through from his health to his personal life. Although he seems like he doesn't need love, it can possibly enrich his life - especially if the right person comes along.
In The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 18's trailer, on the other hand, it reveals the events that follow the previous episode. Shaun will feel the ramifications after Dr. Jackson Han (Daniel Dae Kim) fired him from the hospital. "You don't work here anymore," Dr. Carly Lever (Jasika Nicole) told him.
The trailer shows how Shaun reacts when he lost his job on The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 18. "Why can't I just be sad and angry?" he asked. As he tries to go to a bar to drown his sorrows, he ends up in a fight. After he asks a man if he is also sad, the guy tells him to shut up, touch him, and knocks him to the floor.
When Shaun doesn't want to shut up, the man beats him up that he ends up at St Bonaventure's. The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 18's trailer then shows Shaun connected to a ventilator in the hospital.
