Fans should brace themselves for another mind-boggling episode. The spoilers and predictions for the much-awaited The Resident Season 2 Episode 17 are finally here and they suggest that Abe's (Mike Pniewski) life might be in danger.
Before that, here is a quick recap of what happened in the latest episode of The Resident Season 2. The said episode, titled "Adverse Events," started with Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) holding a board meeting about the leading medical company, QuoVadis, after Henry Barnett (Evan Whitten) almost lose his life due to a device malfunction.
Due to what happened, the surgeons were determined to shut down QuoVadis and the company's founder and chief executive offer (CEO) Gordon Page (Michael Weston) once and for all. To do so, Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) asked Henry Barnett's mother, Zoey Barnett (Daniella Alonso), to give a press release about how the Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) almost killed her son.
Conrad Hawkins and other surgeons hoped Zoey Barnett's statement will come out before Gordon Page reveal the use of VNS to hundreds of soldiers diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). However, things took a turn for the worse when the latter offered Zoey Barnett to pay for her son's medical bills for the rest of his life in exchange for her silence. Unfortunately, she took the offer and then, she decided to move to North Carolina so her son can continue the treatment at the Duke University Hospital.
Now, the long-awaited showdown with QuoVadis' Gordon Page will finally take place in The Resident Season 2 Episode 17. According to the spoilers, as cited by CarterMatt, the surgeons will do everything it takes to save the life of AJ "The Raptor" Austin's (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) old mentor, Abe, who is also their only inside source to QuoVadis.
"Unfortunately, when Nicolette 'Nic' Nevin (Emily VanCamp) and Conrad [Hawkins] take on a patient needing the hospital's only viable ECMO machine, they must decide between saving the life of Abe or saving the life of their younger, more stable patient," the official synopsis for The Resident Season 2 Episode 17 reads. "Meanwhile, Marshall (Winthrop) puts himself in serious danger to help take down Gordon Page once and for all in the all-new," it added.
