An unlikely cast is about to join You Season 2. Chris D'Elia is about to come to the Netflix drama series in a recurring role. Will he be a friend or a foe?
According to People, D'Elia will play the role of Henderson in You Season 2. He is a famous comedian who wears designer clothes and expensive shoes. Nothing is much known about the 38-year-old star's character, whether he will be on Joe Goldberg's side (Penn Badgley) or his enemy. But given his character's role, he will surely entertain the series' fans.
Aside from D'Elia, there would also be a lot of new faces coming to You Season 2 as Joe moved to Los Angeles. The Haunting of Hill House breakout star Victoria Pedretti would join the Netflix series as Joe's new obsession Love Quinn. She is an aspiring chef who is not an avid fan of social media like other people her age. She will be in deep and poignant distress when she meets Joe, so they will be sharing a "shared knowledge of profound loss."
James Scully will also join You Season 2 as Forty Quinn, Love's brother. TVLine described his characters as "confident, opinionated and privileged," but he is also a charming buddy when he is at his best and a razor-sharp bully at his worst. He has been defending on his sister throughout his 12-step program, but he will later fall back off the wagon.
The Jane the Virgin star Jenna Ortega will also come to You Season 2 as Ellie, a teenager who grew up fast in the city. At her age, Ellie is a mature woman for living with "minimal adult supervision. When time gets tough, she is not afraid to work a little dirty to earn some cash even if it means she has to help Joe.
Also, Robin Lord Taylor will join You Season 2 as Will, a "thoughtful, personable, and highly intelligent guy." Despite his good character description, he is working with unpleasant people as part of his job. Fans will see him trapped in a bad situation, and Joe may have something to do with it.
You Season 2 will be based on Caroline Kepnes' second novel, titled Hidden Bodies, per What's on Netflix. It is also a psychological trailer that will follow Joe to Los Angeles as he pursues his new apple of the eye, Love.
Netflix has yet to announce You Season 2's release date, but it is expected to be out in late 2019 or early 2020. Its production is said to start within a few months.
