Claws Season 3 is officially on the works as it makes its way back on TNT soon. The story behind the Nail Artisan salon in Manatee County, Florida, will continue as it features girl power and women empowerment.
Just like the two previous seasons, Claws Season 3 is expected to focus on Desna Simms' (Niecy Nash) story. The nail salon owner only uses her business as a front for her dirty works like money laundering for a local pill mill.
Desna may continue getting the help of Polly Marks (Carrie Preston), Annalise Zayas (Judy Reyes), Virginia Loc (Karrueche Tran) and Jennifer Husser (Jenn Lyon) on Claws Season 3. Aside from Desna, the show also features the crime boss Clay "Uncle Daddy" Husser (Dean Norris), per Den of Geek.
In the first two seasons, Desna, Polly, Quiet, Virginia, and Jennifer got involved in criminal money laundering for the salon's neighboring pain clinic. As it naturally featured different scenarios from drama to suspense and even possible death, it might continue to be seen on Claws Season 3.
"Claws is about good women caught in bad places with worse men," TNT's official description of the show read. "It's the story of hardworking women trying to get by in this economy, set against the surreal, bright, gritty landscape of Florida and the luscious, absurd, extreme excesses of the crime world."
Strong women will continue to show their leadership on Claws Season 3. "When I read the script, the word I used to describe it was delicious," Nash said in an interview, Bustle. She continued to say that all of the women in the show are "rich, full, and vibrant," and it is only a rare event that they see a script where all of the ladies are strong.
Claws Season 3 will continue to feature the show's five lead women and their characters' "complexities and dimension." Although viewers are not used to seeing a show lead by female roles, the series has been loved by fans. With its positive feedback and good ratings, it deserves to get a renewal and continue delivering intense storyline with dark humor and veteran talents that may run for quite a while.
TNT has yet to announce Claws Season 3's release date, but it is expected to be released in the same timeframe. Its two previous seasons were both out in June, so it might be safe to assume that the network would drop it in the same month this 2019 with the same number of episodes.
