Axios and Harris released a poll that revealed Chick-fil-A had the best reputation among other fast food chains in the United States. The survey placed McDonald's on the last spot.

The poll allowed one group of participants to identify brands that they believe are the most reputable in the U.S. Another group based its rankings on the brands that are deemed "most visible."

The results revealed that McDonald's scored only 63.7 points and ranked 88 in the list composed of 100 food brands. Papa John's garnered 66.6 points and made it to the fifth spot of most reputable fast food chains in the U.S.

In fourth place is Chipotle with 66.8 points. Analysts believe the rankings were affected by the California-based food giant's decision to add vegetarian and vegan options on its menu as more people have started leaning on healthier food and beverage choices over the past few years.

Yum Brands came in at third place, bagging 71.4 points, Business Insider reported. Yum Brands is the parent company of three other American global brands: KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. In second place is Starbucks, with 72.7 points and just a few points short of grabbing the top spot.

Industry experts suggested that one of the reasons why Chick-fil-A landed on the top spot of the reputation survey is due to its improving customer-centered systems and services. The company has also been expanding and offering better options for consumers in the U.S.

According to U.S.A Today, the Georgia-headquartered food chain is offering a limited-edition dish specially made for the Lenten season. The Fish Sandwich is now available at select restaurants in the country and will only be on sale until April 20.

The sandwich first made its debut on Chick-fil-A stores in 2016 and it continues to make a name in the food market. Every Lent, this item that comes with add-on options helps boost sales in the chain's stores nationwide.

Meanwhile, the American food giant has been improving its rankings on other surveys and polls this year. In Technomic's latest ranking of the top 500 restaurants in the United States, Chick-fil-A jumped two spots higher to claim the fifth spot.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle further reported that the company's sales saw an increase of 13.5 percent last year. The food firm also increased the number of units it had in 2018 with a 6.5 percent increase compared to 2017's figures.

Food enthusiasts and industry analysts predicted that the American food chain will continue growing and establishing its presence not just in the U.S. but also in other countries in the coming years.
