Disney's third installment for the hit series Descendants is coming soon, and everyone's waiting for it. As it appears, the magical and musical show will arrive on Disney Channel in the middle of 2019.
The first installment of the show aired on July in 2015. As for the sequel, the show premiered on July 21, 2017. So, if the third installment will follow the same pattern, it is very likely that Disney will drop the threequel by July 2019. Even so, fans are assured that Descendants 3 will arrive before the year ends.
If anyone would recall the ending of Descendants 2, one of the characters explicitly revealed that their stories are not yet finished. And ever since that day, fans are already hoping to know when the next season will be released and what will happen in the following installment.
Although there are no official trailers released yet, there are already a few hints and teasers that are out on various social media platforms. Nevertheless, only little has been said and given about the plot and setting of the upcoming installment.
In one of the show's characters' interview, Dove Cameron, who played Mal's character or the daughter of Maleficent, revealed that the third installment would tie all loose ends in the plot. This could explicitly mean that it's already the last installment to the show. However, the actress contends in the end that it does not necessarily mean that Descendants 3 will be the end of it all.
Aside from this big hint from one of the lead stars, the official synopsis of the third installment shared that Mal will probably get to know her unknown and unnamed father. Additionally, the show will feature its most epic battle yet as Mal, and the VKs return to Isle of the Lost.
It is also mentioned that their return is solely for the purpose of recruiting new villains. So, there is a huge possibility that the Descendants 3 will introduce new characters that are also offsprings of Disney's most famous villains.
Alongside Mal, the original cast will also return in the threequel which mainly includes Carlos, Evie, Jay, and Ben. Moreover, it has been revealed that Uma and Jane will also return as well as Harry Hook, Princess Audrey, Doug, Dizzy, and Chad Charming. Hades will also be introduced, and he might just be the villain of all the villains.
