Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is a popular manga series, not just in Japan but in other places as well. It inspired the making of an anime series. Thus, fans are now clamoring for Magi Season 3.
Written by Shinobu Ohtaka, it tells the stories of different classic tales like Aladdin, Sinbad the Sailor, 1001 Arabian Nights, and Ali Baba. Magi is set in an ancient world that holds a lot of nations and regions. Here, there is a young boy named Aladdin that travels with his friend Ugo, who is in his flute. He will then meet Alibaba and Saluha, and together, they conquer Amon.
When they enter the dungeon, the door closes with the outside force. After they escape, they realize he is a Magi and teleported to a faraway land. A1 Pictures has adopted the show with two seasons, but Magi Season 3's future remains on the air, per OtakuKart News. The previous season ended in March 2014.
After five years, there is no news about Magi Season 3 yet. There was no way Season 2's finale episode could be the show's ending. It still had to tie a lot of loose ends that would give it a proper conclusion.
According to Quora, some of the questions that needed answers on Magi Season 3 involved Morgiana and Hakuryu. Fans wanted to know if Harkuyu would manage to crash the Kuo Empire with the help of his mother. Also, they wanted to learn if Allan had any knowledge that one of the Kou Empire leaders wanted something to do with him.
Viewers also wanted to see Magi Season 3 to explore Morgiana's true strength and her past. Lastly, Aladdin, Morgiana, and Alibaba saving Hakuryu from the darkness could also be at play.
Magi Season 3 still has a lot of stories to tell. However, A1 Pictures has yet to renew the show, or if it still has plans to continue its story. As its manga version already ended, it can be one of the reasons why the show will not return.
In Japan, the anime version is used to advertise the manga adaptation. But as the manga is over, and so does the anime series. Hence, there is only a slim chance of seeing Magi Season 3 on the small screen.
