Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have apparently been meeting to discuss movie projects with Sony Pictures. Rumors from the paper Grazia cited that the former spouses seemed to be eager to work together again and revive some stories shelved with their old production company.
According to the report, Pitt and Aniston have been brainstorming ideas at one point at the film studio's Los Angles lot. The ex-couple apparently plans to release a movie as executive producers even if they don't have to be starring in it.
But Gossip Cop debunked the report as an unreliable story. Citing reps from both camps, the site stated that there are no collaborations nor projects in the pipeline between Pitt and Aniston.
The tale of Pitt and Aniston working in a movie together again has been rumored for quite some time. However, nothing concrete has actually come out, proving that the stories have been fabricated.
Reps from Pitt and Aniston's camps, however, confirmed that the exes have reconnected. The actor attended his ex-wife's 50th birthday last February. Sources from Entertainment Tonight said that the two remained friendly with each other after their divorce in 2005 but they have not been regularly in contact.
However, Pitt wasn't a special guest at Aniston's milestone birthday. He didn't stay long at the party as well and only made sure to show up to support his ex-wife.
"They hugged and chatted for a bit, but Jen was busy making sure all of her other guests had an amazing time," the source said. "He came to support her, spoke to other friends of his that were there and headed out."
Meanwhile, Pitt and Aniston did own a production company during their five-year marriage. They formed Plan B Entertainment with producer Brad Grey and made films like Troy and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
After their divorce, Aniston left the company while Pitt remained the sole owner. Plan B Entertainment churned out award-winning movies like The Departed with Leonardo DiCaprio, 12 Years A Slave with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Moonlight with Mahershela Ali.
Today, Plan B Entertainment has active production deals with Annapurna Pictures and was one of the producers of recent award-winning movies like Vice and If Beale Street Could Talk. Plan B Entertainment's upcoming movie projects include The King with Netflix, which will star Timothee Chalamet, and the science fiction Ad Astra, which will headline Pitt.
The production house is also developing the TV series Consider Phlebas with Amazon Studios. Aniston, on the other hand, has an upcoming TV series with Sony, which will run on Apple TV's new streaming platform.
