The Internet is starting to notice that, lately, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have been looking like high-fashion doppelgangers of supermodel and fashion trendsetter Naomi Campbell.

And it seems that it is not just the World Wide Web that has caught on to these near-carbon-copy styles. The runway queen herself has made some extraordinarily on-cue moves that have been interpreted as making a subtle shade over KarJenner.

Young billionaire Kylie Jenner posted a photo of herself Sunday on Instagram, sporting a look once worn on the runway by the 48-year-old fashion model. Wearing a matching ribbed set of a cut-out cropped top and pants, she elevated the $195 'Kylie' look some more with crystal-covered heels by Gianvito Rossi and topped it off with a Campbell-inspired glittering rhinestone-encrusted eyepiece and bib necklace ensemble from Michael Ngo.

Although the sunglasses and necklace did not exactly match the Rifat Ozbek pieces of the 1995 Campbell get-up, the likeness was unmistakable, as is evident from the Instagram post by Diet Prada.

Then, on cue, two days after Jenner's Instagram, Campbell posts "#MOOD @rifat_ozbek" with a snapshot of herself wearing the Ozbeck pieces. Some believe it unlikely that the runway superstar was merely taking a trip down memory lane.

And then there goes Kardashian-West. While Jenner merely took inspiration for her accessory wear, the same cannot be said of her half-sister, a self-professed Campbell fan, who went all out for what appeared at first to be merely Naomi-inspired outfits.

Only, after being seen in six outfits that were almost identical to pieces Campbell also wore on the runway back in the nineties, it did not look at all like merely inspired fashion sense, but rather very close copies of the supermodel's garb over the nineties.

This trend started being noticed during the weekend when she wore a vintage-style purple-and-green Versace creation on the occasion of Chance the Rapper's wedding. The piece looked exactly like the one Campbell modeled on the runway back in 1996.

An earlier instance of the same was on March 6, when Kardashian-West posted an image of herself in a leopard print ensemble, complete with gloves and shoes, pointing out that the outfit was "an Alaia." Two days later, the fashion star posted on Instagram an identical get-up she wore in 1991, with an attribution to the same designer.

This has gone on long enough for people to notice. One Twitter user (@f**krashida) went as far as to say that while "once" might be an "accident" and "twice" a "coincidence," when it went beyond that, it's already a "pattern."

Another Twitter user, @thatsmylik, posted in response to the above declaration, asking why people could not just "let Kim be inspired" by the supermodel's styles. He even went on to add that people "always" seem to think "somebody copying somebody."

Another (@fkajoseph) tweeted on the same thread, responding to @thatsmylik, that it is because Kardashian-West has credited herself as being an "originator," but her frequent and consistent imitation of Campbell's wardrobe proved that she is not.

This Twitter user even went on to say that the actress-socialite "lives her life as a copy."

The informal votes are all in, but as to whether this is something in bad taste that the KarJenner are doing, dogging the fashion icon's styles from the nineties, or a flattering way of paying tribute to the great fashion figure, the comments are loud enough.

While some are saying that there is nothing wrong with the KarJenners wearing fashion pieces closely modeled after those worn by Campbell---after all, she is a model, and that's what her job is: to model clothes so people would want to buy those---others point out that Kardashian-West, especially, has always seen herself as a trendsetter and for her to sport another looks not just once or twice, or even thrice for that matter, but six so far, is spreading it thin, even if she is a fan of the fashion model.

Still, the two could only be just having fun dressing up in Campbell-style designer knockoffs, other comments suggest.

Panning over to the other side, Campbell has managed to send across her feelings on Jenner, at least by not making a direct answer when asked during an interview in September 2018, on the Watch What Happens Live show. When pointedly being asked by the host, Andy Cohen, a question on Jenner's picking modeling assignments, she replied, "next question."
