Seven-time academy award nominee Bradley Cooper is said to be losing his friends because he has become accordingly "shallow."
The 44-year-old actor is said to have become a different man following his rise to fame, turning into someone "self-absorbed," a sham of a publication has claimed.
This bogus story run by the disreputable outlet was caught in time by Gossip Cop. The headline "Shallow Bradley Losing His Buds" was a way of netting in readership but was totally untrue.
Star magazine made claims based on a purported unnamed source, most likely non-existent, saying this new attitude of the actor is costing him his friends and supporters who have "up and vanished" since. It went on to quote its unverified source who expanded on this new side to the actor, which had ostensibly begun to show itself after the success of his film A Star Is Born.
The film marked Cooper's directorial debut, the third remake of the 1937 film of the same title. It received a total of eight nominations at the last Academy Awards, including one for Lady Gaga's original song, "Shallow." Cooper himself got a Best Actor nod for his performance in the film. All around A Star Is Born got critical acclaim, not the least was Cooper's direction. All around, the remake was a resounding success.
However, in the wake of the film's success, co-stars Christian Bale, Vince Vaughn, and specifically Jennifer Garner, were said to have "turned their backs" on the new star after he gained an "inflated ego," the questionable publication declared.
The specific reference to the actress, Garner, was particularly untrue because only recently, Cooper had dinner at the actress' home, along with Irina Shayk, his love interest, and his mother Gloria as well.
Besides that, Cooper was also seen together with other friends as well as Hangover co-stars who had got together to remember their friend Brody Stevens, who committed suicide in the previous month.
These instances only go to prove that the story had been baseless. Moreover, it became clear the intention is only to spread lies to sell readership when the publication Ok!, another outlet repeatedly busted by Gossip Cop and which is closely associated with Star, came up with a closely related story. In that version, Cooper was the one who was "shunning" his friends.
Gossip Cop suggested that the story had only been entitled that way pun-fun-intended, "shallow" being the title of the movie's theme song. After seeking comment with a close source, it can be said with confidence that there is no truth to these claims, as the actor is still the same way he is, "nothing has changed."
