Nicole Kidman has been very vocal in terms of choosing her projects and characters to portray. Her versatility as an actress knows no bounds, recalling her interview by Tina Brown at the 2015 Women in the World conference, she stated that her attention turned to her career after her divorce from Cruise.
It was then that Kidman was more appreciated and also has gained recognition when she received her Academy Award in 2003. Now that she has been very busy in films and television, people sometimes speculate the reason for this and makeup stories with the usual Hollywood style like marital problems.
Recently, rumors have circulated that Nicole Kidman looks so thin and unhealthy and her friends were allegedly worried about the condition of the Destroyer star. Kidman seemingly looks weak as she was seen in New York City earlier this months while doing some scenes of her HBO miniseries The Undoing. The HBO miniseries has no released date yet as it was just starting to shoot this March, and Nicole Kidman along with David E. Kelley, Per Saari, and Bruna Papandrea will be executive producers. It was reported that Susanne Bier would direct every episode of the series and serve as an executive producer as well, while actors that Hugh Grant, Donald Sutherland, and Noah Jupe has joined the main cast.
Looking back on her Destroyer stint, Nicole Kidman has already got the idea that her role as battle-worn LAPD detective Erin Bell will "cost her and her family." Although there were no specifics as to what will happen, Kidman also revealed that her husband, singer/songwriter Keith Urban despise her role in the American crime drama that he "just couldn't wait" for her feisty character in Destroyer to end.
The physical features were changed by aesthetics and makeup just so the Dead Calm star would portray well her character as Erin Bell, as she was described as someone "who is tormented by her own demons." Her character portrayal was just so effective that even her husband was shocked to see her transformation; although her musician husband has been very supportive of her creativeness and craft, Kidman's transformation from a beautiful, famous face to a weather-beaten, world-weary cop goes out of Urban's list of art.
Coming from that story, the one Nicole Kidman was referring to as "will cost her and her family" would most likely be the rumors surrounding her and her allegedly "weakening state." It was already the concern of Kidman as she was doing Destroyer, but because of her professionalism and passion to her craft, the award-winning actress did not mind what the gossips will be in the future.
Anyhow, Nicole Kidman's spokesperson has already debunked the rumors and Kidman has previously opened up about her diet and nutrition over the years, noting that she's "not that strict" and will "pretty much eat anything, but all in moderation."
