Fans of the former couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are crossing their fingers for reunion by these two accomplished Hollywood stars. It was even recently written about that, were the two to consider giving marriage a go for a second time around, they would be more successful at it than the first time.

While it has been 15 years since the two divorced in 2005, their fan following has not given up hope they would find their way back to each other again. This is especially so because presently, the two are single again and have grown older, perhaps more mature and secure in their careers, to handle a more lasting relationship.

It is remembered that the two met early on in their careers, while they were just starting to rise, in fact. Aniston had started with her television show, Friends, while Pitt was also on the rise with his earlier movie hits like Troy and Fight Club.

Their very first date had been arranged by their agents back in 1998, and while the then-couple worked to keep the growing relationship under wraps, their careers just could not allow this. Being public domains, Pitt being the hot upcoming star at the time and Aniston a well-loved stunner, they came out as a couple the next year at the 1999 Emmy Awards.

They then came out with a smashing engagement announcement during a Sting concert in New York, only a few months after they came out as a couple.

Then came the much hounded, eagerly anticipated Malibu wedding in July 29, 2000, which was the event of that year that time. The newly married couple then showed up together in that year's Emmy Awards, flaunting their newlywed status.

In their first year as a couple, the actress came out on an interview saying that it was "beautiful" to know they were there for "the long haul." A couple of months after this, Pitt guested on Aniston's hit television show, somehow sealing their commitment to each other publicly.

It was early in 2003 when some subtle signs began to show that all may not have been well in paradise. Aniston was interviewed by W magazine and asked whether she considered then-husband Pitt the love of her life.

She admitted she was not the type to refer to someone as "the love" of her life, admitting then that Pitt was a "big love" in her life. She had gone on to say that she believed they had "something special" in the midst of "all this chaos," and admitted it was a good thing to have somebody in all that who "really knows all of you."

Then early in 2004, the actress again went on an interview, that time with Diane Sawyer, and went on to say that, from the outset, she and Brad "knew" that "they were meant to be." That same year, as her show went toward its end, Aniston spoke of "looking forward" to taking it easy and mentioned it was time to work on a baby and getting pregnant.

However, the fairytale started to fade in May 2004, when Pitt filmed Mr. And Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and the two of them were often thrown together to film the movie. That seemed to have been pinpointed as the beginning of the end of Aniston's and Pitt's marriage.

The next year, in January 2005, the Pitt and Aniston gave a joint statement announcing their separation after seven years of marriage, emphasizing that the split was not anything related to any media reports that time. They declared it was by mutual agreement resulting from "much thoughtful consideration."

In October that same year, their divorce was finalized.

It was not until nine years later though, in 2014, that Pitt and Jolie got married. Aniston got married to Justin Theroux in 2015.

Then in September of 2016, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, and presently the two are finalizing the arrangements for the custody of their adoptive children.

In early 2017, Pitt and Aniston connect once more, the actor saying he had wanted to wish the latter a "happy birthday."

Then early 2018, Aniston and Theroux announced their own separation, sparking hopes of a reconciliation between the actress and her first husband.

The latest link the two had was on February 9, when Pitt was spotted among the guests at Aniston's 50th birthday party in Los Angeles.

After all that has happened in each of their lives, one thing can be said for the two.

They have both been through highs in their careers, have learned what it is like to balance a relationship in the midst of a career. Now that the road has been cleared, there is nothing that Pitt's and Aniston's fans would like better than for the two stars to fall in love together again.
