Following a published invite for the launching of the Nokia X71, HMD Global just made the Smartphone official. Alongside the Nokia 9 Pureview, the Nokia X71 recently went live in Taiwan and will eventually roll out as the Nokia 8.1 Plus globally. The Smartphone will also parade the company's novel 48megapixel sensor with Zeiss optics and a 120-degree snapper.
GSM Arena, who likewise reported on the invite, was spot-on when they said that the Nokia X71 will indeed be launched on April 2. The website included a render of the Nokia 8.1 Plus with a hole-punch front-facing camera, making it the first Nokia device to be equipped with the next-generation selfie shooter. In addition to the many first hardware found on the device, the X71 is also the first Nokia X-series to launch outside of China.
Engadget pointed out that the Nokia X71 will fall in the midrange hemisphere with Android One written all over it. Fans of all-screen phones will enjoy the device's 6.39inch, an FHD+ display screen with an astounding 93% screen to body ratio. Add this with the aforementioned 16megapixel front facing punch hole camera and they will certainly have a beautiful handheld in their pockets. An Android Pie will handle the Nokia X71's Operating System, while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip, 6GB RAM, 128GB of expandable memory and a 3,500mAh battery should make everything smooth and perfect for everyday use.
Turning the Nokia X71 on its backside will expose the Smartphone's triple camera setup. Again, it's made by Zeiss with 48megapixels as its main sniper. There's also an 8megapixel and a 5megapixel camera to add width and depth to images and videos. A camera flash sits comfortably next to the cameras, as well as the device's fingerprint scanner. It's safe to take this news with a grain of salt considering that the 8.1 Plus will be the international version of the X71.
