Back in 2016, this model has been rumored will come back with a new version. It all started when the company released a throwback video.
In 2011 and 2012, Motorola tried to revive this model and they teamed up with Verizon for a series of Droid RAZR devices. However, this version has no flip phone design that was part of the original charm.
According to WSJ, Lenovo plans to manufacture over 200,000 of the new RAZRs. The company will team up with Verizon Communication Inc., on selling the new version of the handset. As of now, there is no confirmation whether Motorola Razr will run Android. Most likely, it will run Android but since all of Lenovo and Motorola's current mobile devices do. The source added that the upcoming phone is currently in testing and could be released as soon as February as a Verizon exclusive.
