After enjoying the freebies during Pokemon Go Community Day, most Pokemon Go players will be busy on the new event, which has started this week.

On the official website of Pokemon Go, Niantic posted a blog announcing Hoenn Event start date, which is set for  Jan. 15 and ends on Jan. 29,  at 1 p.m. PST. According to the developer, Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region. The creator of the augmented reality mobile game warns the players that more Pokemons will be appearing more frequently in the wild. The Niantic also added that if you evolve Shroomish into Breloom during the event, "it will know the exclusive move Grass Knot!" The date and time are set for Jan. 15, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8) to Jan. 29, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8).

Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. The Raid Battles during this Hoenn Event will include Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region and these are Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon. Apart from these legendary Pokemons, don't forget that are lots of pokemons, especially during the boss raid. The latest event includes 7 KM egg hatches and  Hoenn themed Field Research tasks.

Pokemon Go Hoenn raid bosses feature exclusively Generation 3 Pokemon. There are five tiers in the Raid Bosses. In Tier 1, you will encounter Duskull, Wingull, Shuppet, Minun, and Plusle; Tier 2: Grovyle, Combusken, Marshtomp, Mawile, Kirlia, and Sableye; Tier 3: Lunastone, Solrock, Crawdaunt, and Claydol; Tier 4: Absol, Metagross, Aggro, and Shiftry; and Tier 5: Groudon and Kyogre.

According to a source, in Tier 1, expect shiny hunting. If you raid Kirlia, Grovyle, Combusken and Marshtomp, you will get a high IV Pokemon that will be evolved over the upcoming Community Days. Kirlia has a male and a female evolution branch. Metagross can't learn Meteor Mash, so you better spend a raid pass elsewhere. Groudon and Kyogre are worth raiding. Both can be shiny. Possible shiny Pokemon that you will get in raid boss rotation: Wingull, Plusle, Minun, Shuppet, Duskull, Sableye, Mawile, Absol, Groudon, Kyogre.

Before this week ends, don't forget that Niantic will be hosting a new Limited Research event on Saturday, Jan. 19. Just like Pokemon Go January 2019 Community Day, this event will only run in each region for three hours. Players who will participate during this event will get special Limited Research tasks from PokeStops, GameSpot reported.
