Fans should get ready for another mind-boggling episode. The spoilers and early predictions for the upcoming episode of NCIS Season 16 are here, teasing more drama and danger to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response team.

Before that, here's a quick recap (via Entertainment Weekly) to what happened in the latest episode of NCIS Season 16. Episode 18, titled "Mona Lisa," saw NCIS Special Agent Nicholas "Nick" Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) waking up on a dilapidated fishing boat, covered in blood and unable to remember what happened in the last 12 hours.

Hence, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service team helped him solve the mystery. As they delve further into the investigation, it was revealed that Nicholas "Nick" Torres was drugged and his missing motorcycle was found behind a dumpster where a young woman's body has been hidden.

Nicholas "Nick" Torres claimed he did not know the victim, but the parking garage security camera showed him walking out of the gym with the woman. Also, the blood on his shirt was a match to the victim.

Due to this, the NCIS team interrogated the gym trainer, Jordan Peralta (guest star Aaron O'Connell), who revealed that the victim actually paid him $10,000 to be late to his training session with Nicholas "Nick" Torres. The payment came from a company called Brueger Marine Lines.

It turned out that Nicholas "Nick" Torres previously worked with the Coast Guard to recover $12-million worth of smuggled diamonds on container ships leased by Brueger Marine Lines. With this, he and fellow NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) went to the Coast Guard.

They, then, found out that the case is still pending as all the evidences are located in the on-location secure lockup. The only person to have access to that room is no other than Nicholas "Nick" Torres.

Now, the action continues in the next episode of NCIS Season 16. Episode 19, titled "Perennial," will follow the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response team's endeavor to stop a public shooting and to put the suspect behind the bars.

"Following an active shooter lockdown at a naval hospital, the team searches for a suspect who fled the scene," the official synopsis for NCIS Season 16 episode 19 reads, as quoted by Carter Matt. "Someone from Sloane's past is a key witness in the case," it added.

Episode 19 of NCIS Season 16 airs on April 9 at 8:00 PM (EST) on CBS.
