Aside from his friendship with Seungri, Shin Ki Hyun was also accused of being a member of another chatroom in KakaoTalk that uses the same illegal activities of filming women with or without their knowledge.
A certain "Mr. Shin" was also a member of this kind of chatroom together with a film actor named Han, a model named Jung, the son of a family-owned conglomerate, and an MD (merchandiser also known as a promoter) of Club Arena. Together with that blind item, netizens were also quick to share a groupie of Seungri, Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and Roy Kim with Shin Ki Hyun at the back. All the more, his fans and followers have required the 32-year old actor to explain his side of the story and hoped that he could clear out his name.
On his live broadcast, Shin Ki Hyun denied the accusations against him including the allegedly "Mr. Shin" who is a member of another illegal chatroom. He also explained what has transpired on the day of the coal briquette volunteer event wherein he was asked to join the group picture by Seungri himself. Shin Ki Hyun stressed out that he cannot be with them since they are all "popular celebrities" while he thought of himself as a newbie in the industry. Also, it was his first time to meet Jung Joon Young and Roy Kim that day, and as for Choi Jong Hoon, he was just able to greet him while they were promoting his former band, The Battle.
