Game of Thrones Season 8 is just around the corner with only six episodes to offer. As it will be the show's shortest but grandest season ever, fans have high expectations about what is going to happen. But as HBO bound the series to secrecy and takes great measures to avoid leaks and spoilers, there are a lot of theories predicting who will kill the Night King.

Jaime To Kill Night King

Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has changed from an evil lover/brother of Cersei (Lena Headey) in Season 1 to someone who is ready to do the right thing in Game of Thrones Season 8. In the previous season, he left Cersei in King's Landing to join Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) up in the north to fight the White Walkers, carrying Widow's Wail, Joffrey's (Jack Gleeson) Valyrian steel that he got from his deathbed.

According to Stylist, Valyrian steel can kill the White Walker, making Jaime a great contender to kill the Night King. Jaime's nickname as Kingslayer may be a good hint that he will be the one to put an end to the first White Walker's terror in Game of Thrones Season 8.

Sam Is The Azor Ahai

There are a lot of theories about who is the real Azor Ahai, from Jon Snow to Jaime, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), and now Sam (John Bradley). There are predictions Sam is a secret Targaryen, Rheagar and Elia Martell's son, saved from The Mountain's assassination and sent to live with the Tarlys.

As he is the first one who killed a White Walker with his dragon glass, which revealed to be the weapon that could kill the said kind, it could be revealed that he is Azor Ahai in Game of Thrones Season 8. After all, he now has a Valyrian steel sword that he nicked from his father that could kill the Night King.

Bran Is The Night King

There is a longstanding theory that Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is the Night King. Screen Rant explained that with his abilities to "warg and Greensee," he is one of the most powerful individuals in Westeros. But as he tries to advance the fight with the White Walkers, he may end up becoming the Night King in Game of Thrones Season 8.

Bran learns he can affect the past event, so when he tries to control the creation of the White Walkers, he may leave a part of himself within the Night King's Body. A Redditor claimed that when he traveled back to the night the Night King was created, the Children of the Forest might have recognized him, gagged him, and tied him down.

When he realized that he failed, he tried to warg back, but he was trapped in the past and stayed too long. He allegedly got stabbed by a dragon glass in the heart inside the Night King's body that made him stuck in the past, becoming the White Walker's leader that might be revealed in Game of Thrones Season 8. If Bran is indeed the Night King, could he do something to kill the stone-cold villain?

Fans should only take these theories with a grain of salt as HBO has yet to confirm anything about it. Game of Thrones Season 8 will finally hit the small screens on April 14, Sunday.
