Betty (played by Lili Reinhart) is going to square off with Edgar Evernerver (played by Chad Michael Murray) in Riverdale season 3 episode 18. Viewers, however, will have to wait one more week for this confrontation as the show is on a three-week hiatus.

Riverdale season 3 episode 18, which will air on Wednesday, April 17, will see Betty no longer backing down from Edgar after weeks of trying to figure out how she can help her mother, Alice (played by Mädchen Amick). The young lady has had enough of the cult leader of The Farm, and she makes a final attempt to save her mother from the clutches of this manipulative person, according to the episode synopsis.

Betty has finally figured it all out and learned that Edgar uses some kind of tactic to make her mother hallucinate. So, she confronts him at The Farm and also threatens to blow up Evelyn (played by Zoe de Grand Maison).

While there, Betty finds her mom and takes her away using blindfolds. But at a bunker, Alice is still distraught and in tears, as seen in the teaser for Riverdale season 3 episode 18. She's also talking to someone about trust and lies. It's unclear, however, if she's addressing her daughter or Edgar.

Meanwhile, the Joneses will have their hands full in Riverdale season 3 episode 18. Jughead Jones (played by Cole Sprouse) will be teaming up with his father FP Jones (played by Skeet Ulrich) to find out who has been doing those copycat killings. FP will come across a dangerous man at the brothel. He will catch the cook Kutz (played by Jonathan Whitesell) while at gunpoint.

The teaser also gives a preview of Archie (played by KJ APA) preparing to fight at the boxing league. Beside him is Veronica (played by Camilla Mendes), who promises to him that she will be there to throw her support in his corner. But clips of a bloodied Archie show that he may not be ready for this fight against Fangs (played by Drew Ray Tanner).

Meanwhile, Riverdale season 3 episode 18 will still feature Luke Perry (as Fred Andrews) in some scenes. A month following his death, the showrunners have yet to reveal how they will address his loss in the series.

"We know that we have to address it in some way, but we're giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him," Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Entertainment Weekly.
