The tragic tale of Dee Dee and Gypsy Blanchard has been getting a lot of attention ever since their story hit the news and media. In fact, several movies, documentaries, and short films are already aired about their strange mother-daughter relationship. But the most recent one that obtained a lot of praises and critics is The Act.

Apparently, The Act is now on its way to its fifth episode. And based on the synopsis, it seems that Dee Dee will now face her fate as Gypsy and Nick schemes a plot to publicize their relationship in front of her mother. But of course, the first plan would not go according to plan which would result in the so-called Plan B.

In Plan B, Gypsy and Nick would push all means to be together. Even if it means the elimination of Dee Dee's presence in their lives. And certainly, everyone already knew what would happen next. In fact, this is the base and starting point as to why their stories made the front pages of various headlines, news, and reports in recent years.

The Act Episode 5 is set to premiere on April 10, exclusively on Hulu. Sadly for viewers outside the streaming platform, the series is not accessible without a subscription. And so far, the number of subscribers is quite increasing, thanks to this crime drama series.

But while the popularity of the show is pretty much obvious, the controversies are also apparent as The Act progresses. As it happened, the real-life Gypsy Blanchard is reportedly planning to make legal actions toward the said original show from Hulu.

As per sources, Gypsy Blanchard felt that the show is quite an unfair and unprofessional movement made by the producers. Not only that the show utilizes the real names of the characters, but they did not ask for permission or consent as well. Even so, screenwriters, Kristy Blanchard and Franchesca Marcelli, responded that they will look into these legal matters. Hence, this could mean that they will either make the story factual or cancel the show for its succeeding installments.

Nevertheless, there are already four episodes set in line starting on April 10, including the fifth episode. And it seemingly appears that the synopsis of the season finale reveals that Gypsy will continue to fight for what she did. So unless otherwise stated, The Act will continue to air its first season on Hulu, showing a new episode every Wednesday.
