Abby Lee Miller was all smiles when she arrived at JoJo Siwa's 16th birthday celebration at the W Hollywood in Los Angeles. The famed dance instructor seemed to be in high spirits as she posed with her former student in front of the camera amidst her cancer battle.

Abby Lee Miller graced the pink carpet celebration on her wheelchair as she showed her support to JoJo Siwa while carrying her gift on her lap. According to People, despite being in the middle of recuperation, she smiled for everyone and looked happy in her signature all-black outfit, showing a little skin with her cold shoulder.

From the looks of it, Abby Lee Miller and JoJo Siwa managed to maintain their good mentor-student relationship since they worked on Dance Moms together. The YouTube personality has been showing her support to the dance guru since her fight against cancer started.

In 2018, JoJo Siwa visited Abby Lee Miller in the hospital and gave her a $10,000 check from Dancers Against Cancer, an organization that raises funds for cancer and brings dance community together. The young dancer also attended the choreographer's 52nd birthday celebration.

Abby Lee Miller and JoJo Siwa's reunion came after the initial confirmed her return to Dance Moms. The new series will be now titled Dance Mom Resurrection and about to be out in June on Lifetime.

In the Dance Mom Resurrection trailer, Abby Lee Miller got real about her battle with cancer and revealed how she managed to gain her strength again to get back to teach dancing. "In an instant, your life changes completely," she said in the teaser. "I was ready to go back to work and start my life over, and now I can't even walk."

The trailer also showed raw footage of Abby Lee Miller in the hospital bed. She later said she needed to get back to teaching, screaming at children, to the things she used to do and promised she would take the kids "right back to the turf."

Hollywood Life reported Abby Lee Miller was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in April 2018. It was a "very aggressive" form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that got detected when she served her prison sentence for fraud in a halfway house. She was later transferred to a hospital to complete her sentence.

Abby Lee Miller has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and two spine surgeries that left her confined to a wheelchair. She also undergoes physical therapy and learning how to walk again.
