Ben Affleck found love with Lindsay Shookus, despite fighting the battles of his alcoholism and disappointments of a failed marriage. The Triple Frontier star has desperately tried to juggle between saving his marriage and his getting sober but in the end, his marriage with Jennifer Garner was sacrificed, for him to be a better man. After the divorce was filed in April 2017, a support system was quickly in progress, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner taking the lead, Ben Affleck has been in the road to sobriety for some time now.
Although there were various claims that Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus was already having an affair since 2014, it was never brought out in the open even during the divorce proceedings with Garner started three years after. The estranged couple has always been amicable for the sake of their three children, and a third party has always been a looming rumor. Officially though, Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus finally emerged as a couple in July 2017, when the Justice League star brought her along in London as he films some scenes and hangouts with Shookus at night.
They were going public ever since has been spotted numerous time on different locations as they head for dinner or picking up some purchases. Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were inseparable as tabloid news feasts on their dates every month, until August of 2018 when Ben Affleck and Lindsay officially announced their split. Eventually, after six months since they broke up the actor was once again seen together with the TV producer in February 2019 as the latter had high hopes of the huge progress of his addiction. However, just recently and only in more or less two months, Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus have reportedly broken up because of some complications. Long distance has taken away their second chance on love, and the timing wasn't friendly either.
Since Lindsay Shookus is officially based in New York City, with a job she cannot leave behind and a child to co-parent with her ex-husband, there is no way she could easily fly back and forth to Los Angeles. An insider close to Affleck and Shookus revealed their struggle to maintain the relationship despite their love and care for each other.
Although there were times that situations cause them not to talk to each other, eventually Affleck and Shookus have found the time to catch up once again. And if their previous affair has a truth in it, their connection seems to be already on a higher degree. With growing kids and life changes, maybe the right time will come for Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus as they have come a long way ever to give up.
