The Order season 2 is coming back on Netflix. The streaming platform confirmed that the show had been renewed for a second season at the end of March.

The upcoming installment will also have ten episodes like the first season. Confirmed to reprise their roles in The Order season 2 are Jake Manley (as Jack Morton), Sarah Grey (as Alyssa Drake), Katherine Isabelle (as Vera) and Thomas Elms (as Hamish).

According to Deadline, The Order season 2 will begin production this summer in Vancouver to be ready in time for the release in 2020. Netflix will likely announce its actual release date sometime in spring 2020, or after nearly a year of filming and post-production.

The Order season 2 is expected to be like a reset of the first season since Jack lost his memory at the end of season 1. According to Screen Rant, the new installment will focus on Jack regaining his memories back but will he, and the werewolves try to get back at the Order?

Created by Dennis Heaton, The Order follows a college boy named Jack who undergoes initiation in a secret society known as the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose. Here, he learns about monsters, magic, and mysteries but Jack also learns a few dark secrets in his family as his involvement in the secret society goes deeper.

Jack was initially motivated to become part of the Order because he wanted to find out the truth behind his mother's death. Instead, he discovers the war between werewolves and the forces of the dark arts, and that everything else is so bigger than him to tackle all alone.

The first season also starred Sam Trammell (as Eric Clarke), Max Martini (as Edward Coventry), Devery Jacobs (as Lilith) and Matt Frewer (as Pops Morton). It's still unclear if these characters will return, especially when Edward was killed in the final episode of The Order season 1.

Meanwhile, Manley extended his gratitude to the viewers of The Order. Following the show's renewal, the actor posted his message on Instagram to thank the fans who've already binge-watched the series.

The actor is from Canada who had a string of TV show appearances in America before he landed the lead in this Netflix series. Manley was in an episode of Seventh HeaveniZombie and American Gods

"He had several layers to him, and we had a lot of similarities in what we valued," Manley described his character, Jack. "He was also a little comedic I think, so it was a wide range of things for me to play with for that role."
