A recent report revealed Queen Elizabeth criticized Kate Middleton's fashion, but there is a reason why she's strict when it comes to this. The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly being held higher than Meghan Markle, and Her Majesty reaches out to her whenever she disapproves her attire.
Many think Middleton is a fashion icon, but she's still facing criticisms, particularly to her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth. Celebrity journalist Ashley Pearson revealed in an interview with the Quest Red that if Her Majesty does not like the way the Duchess of Cambridge appears in the public, she will reportedly send her notes telling her so.
The reason why the Queen is stricter to Middleton than to her sister-in-law is because she will be a future Queen Consort when her husband Prince William becomes a King. Pearson said the Duchess of Cambridge has a whole set of rules and restrictions as she's meant to be the Queen someday. In addition, Middleton and Markle aren't on the same page, since Prince William's wife wears skirts at a certain length.
Queen Elizabeth is allegedly giving notes regularly, especially if she does not like certain color tights on Middleton, or certain hem or outfit. It only makes sense the Duchess of Cambridge is being held to a different standard from Markle since they were, in fact, in a different position.
As mentioned, Middleton will be a Queen Consort someday, while the Duchess of Sussex won't be because her husband Prince Harry isn't in direct line for the throne. And while she's still among senior royals, Markle might not be facing the same set of rule like that of Middleton since her husband wouldn't be a King.
Meanwhile, aside from Queen Elizabeth, there were also other people who have been criticizing Middleton's fashion. For instance, the Duchess was slammed back in March because of the coat she wore during her visit to Blackpool, along with Prince William.
Mike Graham, a talkRADIO host, commented on her outfit the time of her visit. He said it is not a great idea to wear £1000 coat from SportsMax, and added Middleton could have worn something cheaper at that time.
But prior to that, Markle has been criticized as well because of her lavish baby shower in New York, however, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were called out and royals experts claim they reportedly spent a huge amount for their royal babies as well.
