Gotham is about to wrap up its whole course as the series is now 11 episodes deep. And fans can no longer hold it in since the finale is just a week away. Although there are already huge revelations and conclusions as to how the series will end, there is still something that holds the fandom intact.

This "something" is possibly the fact that the final episode would mainly show the events that led to Batman's birth. And alongside Bruce Wayne's evolution, the series finale would certainly reveal the characters who will play a huge role in Batman's life.

It is already made known that Gotham Season 5 Episode 12 will start a decade after the events that occurred in Episode 11. And based on what just happened, the fans have witnessed how Bruce Wayne left the city all because he feels that he is the most responsible person for all the chaos that arrived at Gotham. But since the series is looking at a 10-year jump in its timeline, it is expected that Bruce will return to the city in the upcoming and final episode.

Aside from Bruce Wayne's return, Gordon will now certainly become the city's Commissioner. There is no doubt about that since he really holds this position when Batman surfaced to the city. And there is already a huge impression made on the recent episode as to how this will proceed.

Apparently, Gotham Season 5 Episode 12 carries the title, The Beginning..., which is just suitable for the series of events. And obviously, the title literally means the birth of Batman. So, there is a huge chance that the fans would see his hero-like appearance before the series finally concludes.

In addition to these points, there are speculations as well that the final episode will introduce Joker to the series. Although the earlier episodes pretty much hinted already that the twin brother of Jerome, Jeremiah, would ultimately become the infamous Joker on the series, there are still no confirmations yet.

It is also worth noting that the actor himself, Cameron Monaghan, revealed that Gotham has its restrictions when it comes to using the name of "Joker" along with his iconic appearance. But even so, the recent events somehow depicts that his third character will be the full-bloom Joker that is just quite fitting to the course of the show.

Now, Gotham Season 5 finale is set to premiere on April 25. And certainly, the whole fandom would not dare miss it. You must not too.
