Earlier this month, one of the most-awaited movies of all time, Toy Story 4, has already released its official trailer. And based on the two-minute clip, the film has finally revealed the ultimate villain of the show, Gabby Gabby.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the director revealed that the fans have not ever seen a creepy doll in the course of the three films of Toy Story. And having one in the upcoming film is a great opportunity to grab, hence, the odd-looking and creepy doll, Gabby Gabby, Josh Cooley explained.
He also mentioned that Gabby Gabby is like Vito Corleone from The Godfather. And by the looks of it, it seemingly appears that the new villain will also have its followers.
Gabby Gabby a "perfect toy." However, there is something broken in her which is a yet-to-be-revealed detail to the movie. And because of this one thing, no one wants to buy her.
The doll has been sitting in the antique store for more than 60 years now. This is why on the trailer, it shows that she is in charge of the store that she is currently in. And as it happens, this same store is where Bo Peep has been.
Woody will cross paths with Gabby Gabby somewhere in the middle of the plot. This is all because of his mission to find Forky and take him home back to Bonnie. But while looking for Bonnie's new-made toy/friend, he came across Bo Peep who has been missing since the early Toy Story films. And this is where he would meet the creepy doll.
According to People, Gabby Gabby and Woody's first meeting is one of the scenes that Josh Cooley likes fromToy Story 4. But as for the details, it seems that the fans will just get the point out of it when the film premieres.
The actress who carried the voice of this 1950's creepy doll is no other than Christina Hendricks. The director has mentioned that she is the perfect voice actress for this role due to her sweet and innocent voice that can naturally turn cold and terrifying. And this is something quite fitting for Gabby Gabby's character.
Aside from Christina Hendricks, another voice actor who just now joined the cast of Toy Story 4 is Keanu Reeves. And he apparently will play the role of Duke Caboom.
Toy Story 4 will premiere on June 21 of this year.
