Prince William and Kate Middleton joined some members of the Royal family to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 93rd birthday with an Easter Sunday church service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen together with Prince Harry, but there were rumors the two princes kept their distance from each other despite the celebrations.
Aside from Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry, Zara and Mike Tindall, and Queen Elizabeth's three out of four children - Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew - were also in attendance. However, Meghan Markle didn't make it to the event. The Duchess of Sussex had to rest and stay at home in Frogmore Cottage, as she is due to give birth anytime now.
Queen Elizabeth all smiled in her vibrant outfit as she made her way inside the St George's Chapel. According to Hello! to complete the first celebration, the Band of the Irish Guards was set to perform their own rendition of "Happy Birthday" in honor of the majesty at the Buckingham Palace. The Queen's second birthday would be celebrated with a Trooping Color parade and gun salutes on the second Saturday of June.
Ahead of the celebrations, Queen Elizabeth already received a flood of greetings from her Royal family on social media. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were even praised for sending their personal message, accompanied by their special handpicked photos with the United Kingdom ruler.
The Royal family looked festive as they made their way to St George's Chapel. Prince William and Kate Middleton showed how close they were with the Tandall family after they celebrated their Easter holiday together in Norfolk. There was even a point that Catherine linked her arms with Zara, showing their good relationship.
However, Prince William and Prince Harry seemed to keep their distance from each other while they attended the Easter service. According to People, the two princes never spoke to each other when they entered and left St. George's Chapel. They even seemed separated by their cousin Zara and her husband Mike.
Prince Harry seemed alone as Prince William was joined by Kate Middleton. There were reports that the brothers' stiff gestured was due to the plan that the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle would be sent to Africa after his wife gave birth to their first child. The set up is said to be to take advantage of the couple's appeal to the young people of the Commonwealth and to put distance between them and the Cambridges.
"Any future plans for The Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage," the Buckingham Palace said in a statement about the plans for Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle about the alleged plan to keep them off from each other. "No decisions have been taken about future roles."
