Things are not looking good for Fire Chief Lucas Ripley (Brett Tucker). The official promotional video for the upcoming Grey Anatomy x Station 19 crossover shows the fan-favorite character's life hanging in the balance.
The much-awaited Grey Anatomy x Station 19 crossover will kick off with Fire Chief Lucas Ripley's life-threatening situation following a deadly blaze inside a coffee beanery. He is urgently rushed into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, wherein Dr. Margaret "Maggie" Pierce (Kelly McCreary) - Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery - will treat him.
The crossover episode will also follow Dr. Josephine "Jo" Alice Wilson (Camilla Luddington) as she learns a hard lesson. Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), on the other hand, makes a call that could jeopardize her career when working with a family seeking asylum.
As hinted, the two-hour crossover episode will be a huge and emotional one. Actress Danielle Savre - who plays Lieutenant Maya Bishop in Station 19 - said the upcoming much-awaited crossover is going to be very dramatic. The events would also have a major impact on the future of both shows.
"It will affect every single person on the show," the 30-year-old actress said in an interview with Digital Spy. "It's going to be huge. People are going to cry a lot. We all cried while filming it. It's going to be a rough, rough couple of episodes to watch... If people aren't crying, I'm going to think that there's something wrong with them because it's so emotionally going to pull at people's heartstrings," she added.
The upcoming crossover episode of Grey Anatomy x Station 19 will also see guest stars Jaina Lee Ortiz (Rosewood) as Lieutenant Andy Herrera, Jason Winston George (Sunset Beach) as Dr. Ben Warren, and Boris Kodjoe (known for his role as Kelby in 2002's Brown Sugar) as Dr. Robert Sullivan. Other stars include Justin Chambers as Dr. Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Dr. Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as Dr. Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen Hunt, Jesse Williams as Dr. Jackson Avery, Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, Karev Kelly McCreary as Dr. Maggie Pierce, Giacomo Gianniotti as Dr. Andrew DeLuca and Kim Raver as Dr. Teddy Altman.
