As the Battle of Winterfell is now over, Game of Thrones Season 8 will now focus on the real fight - the fight for the throne. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the rest of their people will be heading to King's Landing in Episode 4, which means The Hound (Rory McCann) is about to meet The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) once again. Will the much-awaited Cleganebowl finally happen and what Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer) has to do with it?

According to Polygon, the Hound had a vision in the flames while he was with Thoros of Myr (Paul Kaye) and Beric Dondarrion. What Sandor Clegane saw might have something to do with his brother, and their future fight called Cleganebowl. Will it finally happen in Game of Thrones Season 8?

The two Cleganes first faced each other in Season 1, when The Mountain killed his horse after Ser Loras Tyrell (Finn Jones) managed to out-joust him. The Hound bravely dealt with his brother, and they ended up in a swordfight, but King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) ordered them to stop.

In Season 7, the two once again met when Jon Snow brought an undead in King's Landing to form a truce with Cersei (Lena Headey). "Remember me? Yeah, you do. You're even f****** uglier than I am now. What did they do to you? It doesn't matter," The Hound told The Mountain, who turned as a giant monster. "That's not how it ends for you, brother. You know who's coming for you. You've always known."

The threat seemed to hint The Hound would be back to match-up his brother. As Game of Thrones Season 8 would be the series' final bow, the Cleganebowl might finally happen when they returned to King's Landing.

So what does Beric Dondarrion has to do with their fight in Game of Thrones Season 8? In George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novel, which the show is based on, The Mountain burnt The Hound's face with a brazier when they were kids that left a huge scar that marked him as a monster. This event caused a big trauma to Sandor Clegane that made him fear fire.

The Hound is the only one who would take up the Lord of Light's cause after the death of Melisandre (Carice van Houten) and Beric Dondarrion. Sandor Clegane might have been embraced the God of Fire that indicated his growth as he abandoned his pessimism and found his inner calm, per Game Spot.

Hence, in Game of Thrones Season 8, The Hound might fight The Mountain with a blazing sword that would bring him down, causing his defeat. However, HBO has yet to confirm this theory. Thus, fans are advised to take it with a grain of salt.

Game of Thrones Season 8 still has four episodes left on its plate, so one of these episodes may feature the highly-anticipated Cleganebowl. Episode 4 will hit the small screen on Sunday, May 5, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
