Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may have been together for as long as their fans can ever imagine. Since the very first day they set their eyes on each other on The Voice, they were inseparable and totally in love. But what could be stopping them to get married when almost all of Hollywood just fall in love, get married and fell out of it eventually.

With that same experience of failed marriages, these The Voice coaches are not in a hurry to get married, more so even just a simple marriage proposal to seal the deal. That is why, when Blake Shelton has recently guested The Ellen DeGeneres show while the host insisted on who will ask the question, it was all taken as a joke. In the particular part of the show, Ellen DeGeneres gave her pre-engagement gift for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani who seemed to have no plans at the moment to pop the question.

The giant clock with the couple's faces on it, which was given by the host apparently does not work, however, it signifies that "time is passing" for the couple and maybe, the Hollaback Girl should be the one asking the question to her partner of 4 years. And even though she hit song being titled What You Waiting For? doesn't really mean anything because, naturally, Gwen Stefani is a traditional woman. Therefore, it will always depend on Blake Shelton's timing in regards to the engagement.

Even Ellen DeGeneres made it appear that Blake Shelton was just waiting for Gwen Stefani to propose to him, that is why he told the latter to make a phone call. When the host changed his mind and asked the country music singer if he wants to marry Gwen Stefani, Julie Bowen jumped in to scare Blake Shelton. Obviously, the whole scenario was just to make fun of the situation that most tabloid news can't help but twist stories just so to make it happen.

On the same show, Ellen DeGeneres did the same hilarious scene to Jennifer Lopez, to which the host tagged as "the one who wanted to marry A-Rod." The same clock was given to the Booty hitmaker which also meant the same thing about the marriage proposal. Surprisingly, a week later he proposed to her and although everything was just comical, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani like Ellen DeGeneres so much that the gesture did not reach to the point of an offense meant.
