Teen Titans season 6 revival discussion has been brewing since 2018. The fate of the show's return, however, has been hinging on the success of an upcoming movie crossover release with Teen Titans Go!

Voice actor Tara Strong posted on Twitter in late 2018 that a Teen Titans season 6 revival could happen if the Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans crossover movie will "kick all butts" once it is released. Warner Bros later confirmed that they are indeed working on a crossover flick, which has been set to launch in 2019, as per io9.

Talent Khary Payton, on the other hand, told ComicBook in an interview last January that they have recorded the Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans movie "a long time ago." It likely won't be long before Warner Bros. has the first teasers of the highly-anticipated movie.

"We had fun but I don't remember a thing," Payton said of his work in Teen Titans Go! crossover. "I literally have to go back and revisit the story, because they've been waiting to show this thing for the longest time."

Payton, however, refused to spill more details about the crossover's release. He also won't say much about a potential Teen Titans season 6 revival. Anything can still happen with the revival talks since the crossover movie has not yet been released.

Teen Titans aired as a half-hour animated series on Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2006. It became one of Cartoon Network's most popular series, and the show won awards during its active years.

The series centered on five young superhero characters in the DC franchise -- Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy. Teen Titans also introduced Aqualad, Terra, Bumblebee, Hotspot, and Speedy in the later seasons.

Teen Titans Go! is the spinoff series, which started its run on Cartoon Network in 2013. While it featured the same main characters of Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy, the show had a different style of animation and was more comedic than its original series. It also didn't have any continuity issues with Teen Titans since the spinoff had a different treatment.

Teen Titans Go! had a movie follow-up after its fifth season run with Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. Released in mid-2018, this film hinted of the crossover production.

If Teen Titans season 6 does happen after the crossover hits the screens, there are speculations that the show could end up in the DC streaming platform. Currently, DC Universe also has a live-action Titans series in its program.
