The Terror Season 2 is about to hit the small screens with a brand new story to tell after Season 1. AMC first planned to do it as a standalone 10-episode show. But with its success, the network decided to expand its story and make it an anthology series.

Kong: Skull Island's Max Borenstein and True Blood's Alexander Woo co-developed The Terror Season 2. Woo also plays as the showrunner, while Narcos' Josef Kubota Wladyka will direct the first two episodes.

According to Screen Rant, The Terror Season 2 will tell the story that happened in a Japanese internment camp set in the backdrop of World War II in the 1940s. However, it remains to be seen if the new season, titled Infamy, will be based on a specific incident or will feature a new storyline based on a big historical event.

Unlike Season 1, The Terror Season 2 will not be based on a book, so its storyline remains to be a big mystery. So, it may tell a real event mixed with a touch of fictional horror plot and "political overtones."

However, it is known The Terror Season 2 would tell the story of the Japanese-American community haunted by a ghost. Everything started in their home in Southern California and would continue through their experiences in WWII when many of them are forced to live in internment camps.

Spooked's Derek Mio will lead the cast of The Terror Season 2 as Chester Nakayama. He will be joined by the Star Trek icon George Takei as Yamato-San, a retired fishing captain and community elder in the internment camp, per The Wrap.

In real-life, Takei was held in a Japanese internment camp when he was a child. So in The Terror Season 2, he is also working as a consultant to the show's historical accuracy aside from acting.

Mio, on the other hand, has a personal connection to The Terror Season 2. One of his grandfathers was also held in an internment camp in Manzanar after Pearl Harbor's bombing.

Other stars that will be in The Terror Season 2 are Kiki Sukezane as Yuko, a mysterious woman from Chester's past; Cristina Rodlo as Luz, Chester's secret girlfriend; Shingo Usami as Henry Nakayama, Chester's father; Naoko Mori as Asako Nakayama, Chester's mother; and Miki Ishikawa as Amy, a Nakayama family friend. Infamy will be out on August 12 at 9/8c on AMC.
