Jeff Horn saw his stars shine when he defeated Manny Pacquiao back in 2017. However, the 31-year-old former school teacher admits that he has been repeatedly told that he did not win that fight. Such is the reason why he wanted a rematch with the eight-time division champion but to no avail.

"I still hear the negative words from people saying I didn't win the fight and that it was dodgy scoring," Horn said to ESPN. When asked if it affected him, the Aussie pug says that he has gotten over the trolls and remains firm that the correct verdict was made.

Horn is ready for a rematch if Pacquiao wants it. Unfortunately, the Filipino boxing icon has shunned the idea. Horn believes that Pacquiao does not want to meet him the second time around, aware that the boxer-senator will be in for rough sailing against the current WBO Oriental and WBA Oceania middleweight titleholder.

"[Pacquiao] doesn't want to do it again. He knows how hard it's going to be the second time, so he wants nothing to do with it."

Regardless of whether Horn's claims are true or not, it does not look like he will get that chance for a rematch. In the eyes of many, boxing is a business and Pacquiao will be looking to face fighters who can reel in revenue. And with all due respect to Horn, not too many are fond of seeing him face the future Hall of Fame boxer.

If not Pacquiao, Horn is repeatedly interested in possibly facing Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin, ESPN said in another report. While a fight pitting the Aussie against the two sounds interesting, both boxers will similarly look at the interest it can generate among boxing fans. As of this writing, Alvarez and Golovkin have yet to respond to Horn's wish.

As for Pacquiao, he has yet to name his opponent this July. Horn is likely to be considered with Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia the only names being mentioned so far. The best Horn can do work his way back up, like maybe facing other fighters like Amir Khan or even Errol Spence Jr. instead. Rather than pursue Pacquiao in futility, the 31-year-old may want to check out other names in the division instead.

So far, Horn has no fight set for 2019. He was supposed to face Ryota Murata but eventually pulled out due to family reasons.
