Fans will continuously see the Pearson family in This Is Us Season 4 after NBC renewed the show for three more seasons. It remains to be seen if Season 6 will be the final saga of the series, but the newly-ordered installments will surely tie up the previous seasons' loose ends.
According to TV Line, This Is Us Season 4 will feature Randall (Sterling K. Brown), and Beth's (Susan Kelechi Watson) move to Philadelphia. "I'm excited to write them in Season 4 in a way where they're even in a healthier and more equal place as partners," executive producer Isaac Aptaker told the publication after the Season 3 finale.
This Is Us Season 4 will also give more insights on the flash-forward scene of Nicky, Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) brother, sitting on Rebecca's (Mandy Moore) deathbed. Justin Hartley, who plays as Kevin Pearson, teased the hanging story of Nicky leaving the family could come in a "big, big way" in the new season.
In an interview with Moore, she told E! News This Is Us Season 4 might explore how Jack and Rebecca ended up together. "How do they really find their way into each other's lives to the point where they get married and spend the rest of their life together," she said.
There would also be another guy in Rebecca's life - Miguel (Jon Huertas) - in the new season. Moore continued to say she is personally curious how Rebecca and Miguel got together in 2008. There would be a lot of "juicy stuff" in This Is Us Season 4 about these two that fans would want to know.
Meanwhile, talking about Randall and Beth's storyline in This Is Us Season 4, Brown revealed his character is now in a "whole new comfort zone." Now that they abandoned the home where he raised his family, they are about to start their new life in Philadelphia.
"He's going to be sort of entrenched in the African-American community," Brown said. Randall would have new opportunities in This Is Us Season 4 that he would finally feel a part of. He would start to perceive that he is now making a "meaningful contribution," but there would also be chances that might hurt his feelings.
As Randall is known for being a little sensitive, it remains to be seen how he would react in this new chapter of his life in This Is Us Season 4. This Is Us Season 4 is expected to return this fall, every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
