"Fortnite: Battle Royale" is still one of the most played battle royale titles despite the launch of various titles recently. Game developer, Epic Games, try to keep up with the latest happenings in the real world and strives to integrate these events in the widely popular game. In addition to its weekly bug fixes, the game developer is rolling out patch v9.10 anytime today to fix several issues including audio problems. The game also teases on the potential in-game Basketball event and a set of Michael Jordan skins.

Patch v9.10

The upcoming "Fortnite: Battle Royale" patch v9.10 will fix audio issues, which includes fixing the switching audio dropout. This issue was supposedly fixed when v9.00 rolled out, but due to some technical issues, it never happened. The update will also fix the impact sound of close-range opponent's pickaxe so that it plays from the point of impact and not from the player doing the pickaxing.

"Fortnite: Battle Royale" patch v9.10 will remove the ducking of building audio when the player fires a weapon. Players will also avoid bunny hopping on ramps since the update will lower the minimum velocity required to initiate a landing sound. Enemies' jump sound is now much louder than that of the player's jump sound.

In addition, "Fortnite: Battle Royale" patch v9.10 will increase the jump sound attenuation to compensate with the footsteps of the opponent. It will also reduce the time it takes for the enemy in-air audio loop to start. This is very helpful since it will allow players to become more aware of the enemies dropping above.

Landing sounds and occluded footsteps will also get a boost when the "Fortnite: Battle Royale" patch v9.10 rolls out. Players will also hear much clearer sound when the opponent confirms an edit on a piece of structure within 2 tiles of the player's position. Players traveling through Slipstream will no longer hear the glider audio.

The upcoming patch of "Fortnite: Battle Royale" will also add a new sound, headshot + Shield Break that triggers when both events happen at the same time. A headshot will have a Pa-ching sound while the shield break will have a chingsshh sound. With the update, there will be a new pa-chinggshh sound. For the open audio issues, the update will fix device swap problems experienced by PC players and will roll this out on patch v9.20.

Basketball Event

After the "John Wick" and the "Avengers" event, it appears that Epic is going to launch a new in-game basketball event if the latest teaser is to be believed. The in-game newsfeed of "Fortnite: Battle Royale" just updated with a new teaser with the text game recognize game. The official Twitter account of the popular battle royale game also posted a cryptic message containing a basketball, red triangle, a shoe, and Goat.

Most "Fortnite: Battle Royale" players speculate that the game will soon have a basketball event given that the image in the newsfeed shows the logo of Air Jordan. But, it is also possible that the logo stands for a new Michael Jordan skin. Epic Games has yet to reveal the meaning of the cryptic posts and teaser. But, fans will know within the day if the speculations on the new skin and in-game event are true.
