Archie Harrison, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, may soon get to visit America, his mother's birth country. Reports say that the Duchess of Sussex has plans to bring her first-born stateside shortly.

A source told Us Weekly that Meghan wants to take a trip with her son to Los Angeles. The visit to America would be the Duchess' way of making sure that Archie would grow up to know his mother's background.

"For Meghan, it's just as important for Archie to learn about her family history as it is for him to learn about his royal ancestors, so she plans to go on a trip to L.A. with him once she's comfortable taking him on a plane," the source said. The American trip will likely be one of the thousands of other trips to Los Angeles that Archie will be going to when he's a lot older.

Archie has already been introduced to most of the immediate members of the royal family. While on his mother side, Archie has only met his grandmother, Doria Ragland. The source also said that Meghan is eager to imbibe her roots to her child.

The son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is the very first British royal family member to have an American mom. Archie is also the first royal child to have an African-American ancestry since Meghan's father is Caucasian and her mother is black.

It has been evident since Prince Harry, and Meghan married that they won't be a traditional British royal couple. According to E! News, the "Americanization" has been present since their wedding day.

For instance, the Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry delivered the sermon, which had quoted words from Martin Luther King Jr. The gospel choir also sang songs like "Stand by Me" during the ceremony. All of these little elements provide a nice toast to Meghan's roots.

Reports say that Prince Harry and Meghan will be doing their best to blend royal traditions and American family traditions in their growing family. Some royal watchers think that Archie may have dual citizenship thus also making him the first British royal to do so.

Archie is currently the seventh in line to the British throne after his father, three cousins and Uncle William. But as a dual citizen, he may also become President of the United States one day.
