The First Lady Melania may soon lose her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, who is 'open' to the press secretary position with President Trump.

As former press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders lets go of her role in the White House ostensibly to spend more private time with her family back in Arkansas, there have been many conjectures regarding the President Donald Trump's next choice for the position.

Some have it good on Stephanie Grisham, who has so far emerged as the top one in the running for the spot. Another possible candidate, it is opined, is Hogan Gidley, who is the Deputy White House Press Secretary.

According to those who figure betting odds (BetOnline.ag), Grisham, who has been with Melania at the White House East Wing since the latter moved into her office in March 2017, has a 7/4 odds of getting the position while Gidley is at 5/1.

Other contenders have Tony Sayegh, the spokesman for the Department of Treasury, who has it at 9/2. Steve Cortes, who works for CNN as a commentator, is at 4/1. Also coming up as a prospect are Chris Christie (7/1) and Anthony Scaramucci (12/1), who are respectively former governor of New Jersey and now a commentator for ABC news, and past head of communications at the White House.

When the President announced Thursday last week that Sanders would be leaving her post by the end of the month, speculations had abounded. However, it was reported that Trump's preference to place in the position would be a woman.

The source, as per Washington Examiner, had been quoted to have said, the President "says" he wanted the position to be occupied by a woman, and so, it is thought that this would be the final word on it.

Another source who used to be an aide for Trump had also pointed out the same, that the U.S. President "really wants" the "position" to be filled by a woman. Still, another source had apparently "heard" and later revealed that "Stephanie (Grisham)" was apparently "open" to occupy the said "position."

No comment has been forthcoming on the matter from what many administration sources have pointed to as the top contender. But a WH official has been quoted as saying that Melania would not "stand" in the way of this happening. In Grisham's repute as a highly competent and "trusted adviser" to the First Lady and the Trump family as well, she has been called the "ultimate" Trump family "loyalist" by a former WH senior official.

The same source had gone on to point out that the "first lady" would not be in the way of that happening if Grisham were to be appointed.  Both the president and especially Melania are said to have been "impressed" with how she has conducted the communications to and from the first lady's office. The rest of the Trump family members also have their faith and approval in her, it was said.
