Melania Trump was seen recently wearing a look that Ivanka, her stepdaughter, has favored. The latter had been spotted last year in a similar looking ensemble by Alessandra Rich, which was reportedly worth $1,400, when she visited an Illinois steel plant.

At the White House Congressional Picnic Friday, the mother of one hosted, along with her husband, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, this year's festival sporting her blue and white polka dot number. She wore a belt that matched her shoes, but that was it and nothing more but understated elegance. It was a look that Ivanka had lately been seen in.

The theme for the party was "Summer Solstice," and the First Lady's outfit had been just the perfect foil for the natural look that she went for. She had her hair down and just a hint of makeup. But her day would not have been complete, or her wardrobe deemed Melania-ready, without her quintessential Christian Louboutin's.

Those were white with stiletto heels that were 4.7 inches high. And that pair alone was worth a whopping $775, although that was not an obstacle to her having a "memorable night," welcoming and playing hostess to guests.

The First Lady had posted on Instagram a message thanking members of Congress who were present at the picnic, along with their families. The celebration is a part of the White House annual tradition in welcoming the summer season. The recent festivities marked their second one for Melania and Donald Trump.

The Vice President, Mike Pence, as well as his wife, Karen, the Second Lady, had joined the first couple in hosting the evening which was enjoyed with music and the atmosphere of a fair, complete with vendor food stands offering baked pretzels, popcorn, and even some cotton candy.

The fanfare was marked by a light and fun atmosphere along with Ferris wheel rides and face painting booths. The menu had been well considered, with the casual, outdoor feel, and guests partook of grilled fare with a selection of charred lemon chicken, rib-eye steak, and salmon, as well as some shrimp taco.

Guests chose from fresh greens from the White House garden, kettle chips, and some local vegetable produce for side dishes. This was all topped with some baked goodies as homemade pies, cookies, and brownies ala mode, with plenty of vanilla ice cream and some honey.

Prior to the picnic, Melania had announced the invitation saying, she and the President were "looking forward" to having over "elected officials" for some time together as a "community" setting aside "differences."
