Something happened in one of the tables of Met Gala night last May that was just recently revealed and unexpectedly, the news from Jennifer Lopez' longtime partner, Alex Rodriguez. The exciting part is, the former New York Yankees pro was talking about his conversation with Kylie Jenner, and it's something her fans would just laugh off or criticize once again.
While it is the topic is already expected, given the two personalities involved are of the same wavelength, it is still surprising to know that Kylie Jenner knows how to brag. Noting from Alex Rodriguez' Sports Illustrated feature, he was remembered talking to the makeup mogul as she was "talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is."
Alex Rodriguez recalled the dinner conversations he had at the star-studded event at the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's costume exhibit on May 6 and even said that he and Lopez' "had a great table. The 43-year-old top MLB analyst sat with Idris Elba and his new wife Sabrina Dhowre, Donatella Versace and of course his fiancée Jennifer Lopez who wore a glittering Versace beaded fringe gown to the event.
But what caught his attention and obviously left a mark on his memory that night was his seatmate, Kylie Jenner, who was named the world's youngest billionaire by Forbes in the magazine's annual Billionaires 2019 ranking. Kylie Jenner surpassed Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg as the world's youngest self-made billionaire, according to Forbes' annual list.
Starting off as just the youngest child of momager Kris Jenner in the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, her passion for beauty, style, and social media charm bought her to success. Her 139 million followers will tell how social media has made her popularity blossom as she endorses different products as well, and afterward ventured on a business with just three Lip Kits to start.
Now with Kylie Cosmetics' revenue climbing up to 9% last year to an estimated $360 million, the company value has already reached an estimated $900 million, which Forbes calls a "conservative" report. Recalling Kylie Jenner's response as she was named youngest self-made billionaire, the 21-year old reality star did not expect the huge outcome of success for her company and owe it all to the power of social media.
As of now, Kylie Jenner is the sole owner of Kylie Cosmetics, however, there are rumors that she has opted to sell it for $600 million or 51% worth of the company's stocks to a known beauty company. With this big move, Jenner will only hold half of the company's share but, this will make her a lot richer to talk about on her next dinner table event.
