Despite their injuries, which will force them to miss Season 2019-20 of the NBA, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are the hottest items in the free agency market. Speculations are rife the duo are moving out, from the Golden State Warriors to the New York Knicks. Unfortunately for the Knicks, that is not happening, according to Andre Iguodala.

In a recent TV appearance, Iguodala declared the chance is higher his All-Star teammates will re-sign with the Dub Nation. The former Finals MVP seemed firmly convinced that Durant and Thompson will both remain Warriors recovering from their injuries.

KD suffered a ruptured Achilles while Thompson had a torn ACL during the GSW's losing Finals battle with the Toronto Raptors. The former is believed to be out of action for at least a year. Thompson, on the other hand, will not return until February next year, at the earliest.

Notwithstanding their health problems, Iguodala said he looks forward to continue playing with both Durant and Thompson, according to the New York Post. Not one is transferring to any team, specifically the New York Knicks.

"Nobody's gonna sign with the Knicks, sorry," the Warriors sixth man was reported as saying.

If Iguodala's assertion is true, it would dash the hopes of the Knicks to gain a ticket on the NBA playoffs next year. The last time the team appeared was in 2013 and the team front office is on building mode to repeat that and perhaps go further.

Aside from KD and Durant, the Knicks are also rumored to be pursuing Kawhi Leonard, who will hit the free agency market in the next few days. However, the Claw is unlikely to leave his current team, the Toronto Raptors, which just dethroned the Warriors and gave him another Finals MVP trophy.

It is believed that if Leonard will exit from Toronto, New York is not on the top list of his next destination. Where he plays next, the most likely candidate would be the Los Angeles Clippers.

So the Knicks will need to look beyond the three names and according to Bleacher Report, the team is "weighing the prospect of extending a considerable one-year offer," to another Golden State player. That would be DeMarcus Cousins, a veteran big man who has yet to return to 100 percent following an Achilles injury.

While the Boogie only played 30 games with the Warriors last season, it appeared his overall performance caught the attention of the Knicks. Cousins averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game with the team, a feat that was impressive enough considering he had to share precious minutes with the likes of KD, Thompson and Stephen Curry.

Per the same report, if Cousins delivered as expected the Knicks would gladly make a long-term offer, which should be the vehicle Cousins need to return to All-Star form.
