Bethesda is keen on rescuing Fallout 76 with the release of the latest patch for the game, Patch 10.5. The update brings with it several design adjustments and fixes mostly in Nuclear Winter.
According to Bethesda, Nuclear Winter has "leveled up from Pre-Beta to Beta." The video game publisher recently announced its intention to extend the Nuclear Winter battle royale mode's pre-beta period, so presumably, this also extends to its beta phase.
Patch 10.5 has several Nuclear Winter design fixes. For one, you now can favorite an Underarmor item in the Atomic Shop for use in the mode. Supply Crates now have Submachine Guns and Automatic Combat Rifles.
The Dead Man Sprinting perk is also improved. If you're below 30% HP, it now causes Action Points to drain slower by 25%. There are new ZAX Terminal entries to discover, and you can now re-open the Perk Card tutorial if you missed it.
Along with the redesigning and fixes, Nuclear Winter bugs have also been squashed. The interior of Vault 51 is now brighter so players can see better. There are also a whole host of performance and stability fixes, perk updates, challenge adjustments, and plenty more. If you've been having a less-than-ideal experience with Fallout 76's Nuclear Winter mode, you should find it improved by this patch.
