China is the primary market of the Oppo Reno Z, but a new report reveals that the smartphone will soon be available in Europe, and it's coming soon. Next week in the Netherlands, the Reno Z will make its debut.
On July 5, Reno Z will hit Dutch stores, and MediaMarkt and Belsimpel will be carrying the device. It will be sold for €349 ($395) for the European 4GB/128GB variant, available in colors Purple and Black.
The premium handset boasts MediaTek's Helio P90. It's a 2.2GHz Octa-Core chipset with paired with PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. Unlike Oppo Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition, the Z variant sports a notch on top of its 6.4-inch AMOLED Display. This panel comes with FHD+ resolution and HDR 10 support. The waterdrop notch serves as a house for the 32MP selfie snapper.
The back of the Oppo Reno Z has a dual camera setup with the 48MP Sony's IMX586 main camera and a secondary 5MP sensor for depth. The device comes with a modern in-display fingerprint in spite of the notch.
To fuel this powerhouse specs, there's a 4,035 mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. Finally, to complete the package, the Oppo Reno Z counts with NFC, Dolby Atmos, and ships with Android 9 Pie straight out the box. Of course, on top of Google's OS, we have Oppo's ColorOS 6.
Expect the Reno X to hit the Netherlands by the end of the next week. As for the Oppo F, however, we're yet to find out. Reports say that the smartphone makers will update the public at the MWC Shanghai 2019.
The MWC Shanghai 2019 launched today. It is Asia's take on the popular telecom trade fair in Barcelona, which traditionally held annually in February. Later today the Oppo press conference will take place, here the company will demonstrate its first smartphone with a camera under the screen, also called USC (under-screen camera).
At the conference, Oppo will also introduce its new MeshTalk technology. It's a decentralized, short-range communication solution that allows Oppo users to send texts, voice messages, and make calls within a 3 km radius, without mobile networks, WiFi, or Bluetooth.
Word is that the company has also trademarked Mesh Talk and Mesh Talkie in Europe. There's a pretty good chance this form of communication solution will also arrive on the continent next, and perhaps the rest of the world later on.
