Last October 2018, the speculations and theories about an upcoming Teen Titans film have become largely apparent. This is because a short clip that showed the original Teen Titans trapped somewhere was seen during the mid-credits scene for Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.
Quite obviously, the fans of the animated film took it by heart that something huge will come anytime soon. And just a few days ago, all of the speculations were put to rest as Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans is now confirmed.
Earlier this week, the official debut trailer for the most awaited animated film of the year has finally dropped. Of course, the fans were really glad to learn that the original Teen Titans is now returning. But while it is not what most of the fandom have expected considering that the majority is still waiting for a sixth season to the original series, the teaser somehow already sufficed the scenario.
Based on the clip, it looks like there will be a lot of changes that will happen in the course of Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans. As it appears, the premise of the film centers on the two teams who will fight (primarily, against – hence the “vs.”) alongside each other. But while there is not much difference seen on the “character designs,” there are a few things that the fans have noticed about the upcoming film. And sadly, these things upset most of the fans as per LRM Online.
The designs for the characters are pretty similar to the conventional ones that are utilized in previous materials. But as for the “art styling,” many critics have noticed that the trailer essentially utilized “flash” instead of the conventional “pencil method.”
There is nothing wrong with this as this does not cause a huge change on the appearance. Nevertheless, it still caused some characters to appear different. And although many fans and critics emphasize these points, the main factor that caused a huge disappointment among them is the animation.
The movements of the characters based on the trailer give out the idea that the animation is not properly executed. It gathered a lot of criticisms from the fans as it appeared to be a part of the “beginning stages” of the production. But even so, this did not still break the excitement of the fans towards the arrival of Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans.
So far, these are the only details that have been shared about it. And according to io9, Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans is set to premiere this 2019.
