Details about the Game of Thrones Prequel are now emerging, from its alleged official title to filming locations. There are reports it will be officially called Bloodmoon, while its production is now set in Italy.
The Italian newspaper Il Messagero reported some scenes of the prequel would be filmed in Italy, specifically in Gaeta. According to the report, the network has requested to have an authorization to film inside the famous Grotta del Turco, the Turk's Cave located in the deepest part of the stone wound Montagna Spaccata or Split Mountain, per Italian Ways.
Also known as the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea because of its rocky landscape that overlooks the sea, the filming is reportedly still in talks as the Sanctuary of the Split Mountain can only be visited in up to its 60th step. Due to the small collapses that happened in 2016, the Park has taken considerable measure to keep the place and its visitors safe.

The Game of Thrones Prequel is the first series that has been approved after the original show ended. It is now in the early stage of production, which started in Northern Island. Images of the locations setting also emerged online, showing cave-like environments just like Grotta del Turco.
A cave rig is even built at the Titanic Studios in Belfast. This is the first time HBO moves its production in Italy, as the nearest it went to was Spain.
Meanwhile, earlier reports revealed the Game of Thrones Prequel would be officially called Bloodmoon after a leaked logo recently surfaced online. So, fans are now theorizing what does the title means and its connection to the series.
Pop Culture noted the Bloomoon title fits the theme and imagery of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, on which Game of Thrones is based. The leaked logo shows the words Blood and Moon on top of each other separated by a spear, while the two Os also line up with one another while reflecting a mirror image of horizontal lines. However, the bottom O bears no outline compared to the one on its top.
A theory claims the logo means balance and similarity. It also implies the novel series' dualistic themes of life and death. The name Bloodmoon and its logo may also answer the long-standing theory about the two moons in Westeros.
If the Game of Thrones Prequel's showrunners explore the importance of the moon and other celestial bodies in the series, it may open new realms of Westerosi magic that the original show didn't delve into. Fans should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt as HBO has yet to confirm anything about it.
