After the explosive Tristan Thompson and Jordyn and Jordyn Wood's scandal, what Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17 is going to expose this time? There are theories it may feature the Kardashian-Jenner kids after Mason's confessional. However, E! Network has yet to renew the show after Season 16 ended with the most dramatic and intense finale ever.
The last few episodes of Season 16 chronicled Tristan and Jordyn's cheating scandal. It tore Khloé Kardashian apart, given the fact that Jordyn is her sister's, Kendall Jenner, best friend who used to live in her house. After the news that surprised the many, what would happen in Season 17?
According to Bustle, there are no words yet about Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17. E! is even yet to renew the show. The family only has a three-year contract with the network, and it will end at the end of the year.
So to continue the show, the Kardashians have to re-negotiate with E! once again for future seasons. From the looks of it, no one from the family wants to back out. When Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's son, Mason, made his first confessional, it might even imply the introduction of the new generation of Kardashian-Jenner clan.
However, it remains to be seen if E! is willing to match the Kardashians' terms to do more seasons. Variety reported the family's 2017 contract cost about $100 to $150 million. And after Season 15's decline in rating, although Season 16 managed to rise again, it is also yet to be seen if there would be Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17.
A network's spokesman confirmed in October 2017 that the reality series would run until 2020. The network reportedly renewed the show through the said year, and it looks forward to continuing its collaboration with the family "for years to come."
RadarOnline also revealed in April 2019 that Kris Jenner was already in "tight negotiations" with the network about the family's new contract for future seasons. "Kris is trying to broker a deal that will keep their show on until the end of season 21," the source claimed. Allegedly, the momager wanted to have the full control of the show's entire production.
With the success of Season 16's premiere, which had 1.3 million viewers that matched Season 15's number, it might not be far that fans will see the Kardashians back to the small screen in Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17. So, viewers have to wait for E! official announcement and renewal.
