Queen of the South Season 4 seems to be taking every risk in and out of the story. Episode 5 is set to be out on the exact day of Fourth of July while Teresa (Alice Braga) is set to meet her new partner.
"El Gordo [Pêpê Rapazote] introduces Teresa to Russian drug queenpin Oksana in the hopes of forging a partnership," Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 5 official synopsis read. "Noche de las Chicas" are about to take two risks come July 4.
According to CarterMatt, it is a very bold move for USA Network to air the episode on Fourth of July, when other series take a break. The network may be thinking that it is more important to air a new episode on the said day instead of featuring repeat features.
As it recognizes that the show performs well in DVR viewership, it is willing to take a risk to feature a new episode to get more viewers. The chance USA is taking seems to be matching Teresa's guts and courage.
In Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 5, Teresa is going to make the most significant decision of her life as she tries to conquer the Eastern United States. In the clip, she can be seen thinking of the best way to get a good deal with Oksana, who can be her closest friend or most prominent enemy.
If Teresa thinks she can trust Oksana, she may go with the deal. With her time in the business, Teresa surely knows what she is doing and capable of. However, she has to be very careful as Oksana may only be trying to gain her trust.
Teresa may look for new advantages, and Oksana may be one of those. However, there is a big risk if the two end up collaborating. They may be doing something to anger either side.
Just like how the usual story goes, someone may try to kill its partner after getting betrayed or haven't received the money that is meant for them at the right time.
