Outlander Season 5 is going to be set in North Carolina, but the production may explore other areas, as well as the show, goes on. Although it will take great effort, time, and money to do another location shoot, it is for the development of the series and even needed in the story.

Fans may once again see a new world in Outlander Season 5 if the show goes to another place. Its novel series, written by Diana Gabaldon, is about to reveal more stories that feature new people and places. So, fans are not going to see the Fraser family staying in North Carolina for the rest of the series.

According to CarterMatt, Claire (Caitriona Balfe), Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and Roger (Richard Rankin) left their lives to travel to the wall and be the person that fans see them today in Outlander Season 5. They left a tremendous time gap behind them that may pose questions like where they have gone and what it would be like when they returned.

There is a big possibility the show will explore the time that Roger and Brianna return to their normal lives. However, it remains to be seen if Claire will go with them, knowing her heart and soul belong to Jamie (Sam Heughan), who may not have the chance to travel through the wall.

Fans are also craving to see Lallybroch again, although there is no news about it. Jenny (Laura Donnelly) didn't make in Season 4 after Donnelly got a role in HBO's The Nevers. Fans would love to see this place again as it is part of Jamie's identity, and it is the only area where he and Claire found peace.

Meanwhile, fans are going to see Jamie fighting with his conscience and loyalty due to his new alliance with the North Carolina governor William Tryon (Tim Downie) in Outlander Season 5. Jamie will find it hard to obey the governor's order to take down the rebellion, which led by his godfather and close friend Murtagh Fitzgibbons (Duncan Lacroix).

Hence, he will choose between obeying Tryon or saving Murtagh. As Jamie is known for not turning his back on his family and friends, he may do everything to keep Murtagh safe and alive.

However, as his daughter, Brianna, is already with them at Frasers Ridge in the 18th Century and his son, his loyalty may be altered to give his grandson a better future. Anyhow, Heughan told Express Jamie is going to face serious trouble in Outlander Season 5.

"Jamie Fraser is establishing Fraser's Ridge and the War of Independence is coming," he said. "There's going to be some great challenges ahead."

Will the trouble involves the governor, Murtagh, and him? Find out when Outlander Season 5 hits the small screen. Starz has yet to announce when the show will be out, although its production already started in April.
