This is a public knowledge that almost all people in the world should know, especially for a powerful country like the United Kingdom, a shift from their government or monarchy will affect a lot of things. From a simple royal formality to the changes in the line of throne and titles, there will be the inevitable changes that the whole world has to take part.
Queen Elizabeth Ii is already 93 years old, and her nation is blessed to have the comfort of a mother in the longest reigning monarch, head of state and everything they can call her, even the first British monarch to celebrate a platinum wedding anniversary with Prince Philip at 98. But death is inevitable, and when that time comes, the British government have been extensively prepared together with the media organizations for decades.
That is why there will be so many changes to occur when that fateful day comes, and although the people of England don't want it to happen yet, Prince Charles has already been taking on more of her duties as Queen Elizabeth II who celebrated her 93rd birthday in 2019, carries out fewer public engagements. And if Prince Charles who is "Heir Apparent" already and the next King of England, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Shand, will be the technically a queen consort.
However, because of the negative public image due to the past relationships that fell on both Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, there is speculation that she will choose to be known as "Princess Consort" instead. Still, she is the "wife if the king" and therefore already Queen and is already holding the title of Princess of Wales, but has chosen not to use it.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton will finally be Princess of Wales when Prince William goes to the title of Prince of Wales. The current Duke of Cambridge will be second in the line of the throne as he moves up to be the next King of England.
Everybody will be shifting from "Her Majesty" to "His Majesty," and even in Britain's national anthem, it has been "God Save the Queen" since 1952 when Queen Elizabeth II took the throne after the death of her father, King George VI. Once Charles is on the throne, the lyrics will return to the "God Save the King" format.
Prince Charles will most likely change his name too like his grandfather Prince Albert who became King George VI, and because Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the monarch, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will leave Clarence House although it depends on them if they will keep it as one of their properties or they will allow Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge to live there.
The election in the Commonwealth will take place upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II, as they will have to approve him and recommit to being in the Commonwealth. Some of the few changes include the engraved cypher in British mailboxes, and British banknotes will have a complete makeover from Queen Elizabeth II portraits to Prince Charles on newly printed banknotes.
